This site is dedicated to the memory of Johnny Mclaughlin.

It's just over five years since Johnny died suddenly on Christmas Day 2012, and Cass, Mark and Danny are training to run the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 23rd September 2018 to raise more funds for meningitis research.

In 2013, Mark ran 11 of 12 planned half marathons in six months around Britain, Europe and the United States, before injury cut short his final run.

A further £10,000 is needed to hit the target of £25,000 that was set before the first of the 12 half marathons in 2013.

We need your support! We would love you to join us for the Bristol run but, if you can't, please consider sponsoring us and coming out to cheer us on! Together, we can help find a vaccine for this devastating disease.

Johnny's death on Christmas Day 2012 left a deep mark on his family and many friends around the world. His intelligence, integrity, warmth and wit made a powerful impression on those he met, and are unforgetable to those who knew him well.

Johnny lived a great life, but at 54 years of age he still had so much left to do. That in a matter of days, meningitis could cut down a man of such vitality, strength and spirit shows just how dangerous it is. If you can sponsor us - or join us for the half marathon - then you will help beat this disease in memory of Johnny and all the other people who it has taken too soon.
